According to various organizations like the SBA and The Census Bureau the rate of small business failure is anywhere from one out of every two or more.

But that’s not enough to stop you from pursing your dream.

I’ve been there.  I have been drawn to create work I love. Many years ago, half way into my so-called traditional career, I decided to open my own business.  Yes, perhaps it was the result of a bit of boredom, midlife angst or wanting to leave my legacy.

I’ve been through the ups and downs of self employment and the entrepreneurial life.  You’re just like me – YOUR BUSINESS IS YOUR BABY.

And, I truly respect and value you because like me, I know your business idea comes from such a pure and innocent place – a heart-centered space.

So whether you are…

  • considering starting a business
  • starting a new business
  • continuing to develop or grow a business
  • struggling to scale your business
  • closing a business
  • dealing with a lack of support from family as you pursue your entrepreneurial dream

I can help.  I offer individual coaching and consulting and I also lead a bimonthly business owner’s group.

The self-employed, entrepreneurial life is very different from what the majority of Americans are doing.  Most people in our society still work a 9 to 5 job and live in ways that support that lifestyle.

Self employed folks like you and I are in the minority.  Most of our family and friends don’t get it.  And, on top of it all, when we struggle (and most of us will) those same family and friends don’t know how to encourage us.

That’s why I’ve created a support network for entrepreneurs like you – who have a big dream and want to make a big impact, as they say.

My support (mentoring, connecting you with other business owners and entrepreneurs, problem solving, etc.) can be an invaluable resource for you throughout all phases of the entrepreneurial life.

On the emotional side, I can help you weather the various storms common with this big, lovely beast.  Self employment takes a degree of energy and commitment that nothing else does.  You must learn how to maintain your energy and focus, if you want to reach success and stay healthy and happy (and financially prosperous).

On the practical side, getting support will help you…

Cut back on mistakes, save money, discover new opportunities, and hopefully shorten your ‘time to success’ curve.

Either way, going it alone is too tough in today’s business world.  You must ally yourself with those who are succeeding.

Don’t go it alone.  Connect with those folks like myself who have ‘been there done that’ and who can support you!

I’ve been in business on the internet for over 15 years.  I’ve been self employed as a psychotherapist over 20 years.  I’ve invested myself fully into my career for decades and as a result, I realized many years ago that the best way for me to express my career self in the world was to create my own business.

One of my business mentors likes to say that “Owning one’s own business is the greatest spiritual growth experience one can have” and I can’t agree more.   Owning your own business – especially one where you serve others – is the most difficult and yet also most rewarding ‘job’ you can ever do.

Creating something from nothing is an amazing experience. It is not for the ‘faint of heart’.   That is why anyone choosing this experience needs a very supportive network of friends and colleagues who ‘get it’ and ‘get you’ and what you are attempting to accomplish.
